International DJ and Holistic Vocal Coach, Gabrielle “Bova” Wilson is the founder of The Artist Influence (TAI), a high performance coaching practice which services the voice of artists, public speakers, actors and novices alike. Bova has coached over 450 Artists worldwide including, but not limited to, Grammy Award Winning Singers and Producers, Fortune 500 Executives, and TedX Speakers. Despite the vast differences between her clients she is certain that the only way to truly unlock the voice is to re-connect people with deep self love. It is artist development re-imagined for the empowerment, health and longevity of the creative individuals that make the art & music that we adore.

Bova, was born in Pasadena to well known producer/song-writer Frank Wilson, and author/speaker Bunny Wilson. She began piano lessons at 3 years old and was singing and composing songs at age 4. At the age of 16, Wilson’s voice and songwriting took her into some of the most prominent studios in the music industry, affording her the opportunity to develop personal relationships behind the scenes with producers, label executives, and award-winning artists. And while it seemed that writing and producing music would be her life-long career, Bova quickly noticed one thing many of her music partners had in common: they weren’t very happy and honestly, neither was she. It was at that early age that she learned money could never be a replacement for true self worth. Or as R&B Rap philosopher Lauryn Hill puts it, “How you goin’ win when you ain’t right within?”

In 2015, while Dj-ing and hosting around the world Bova noticed that these same problems continued to arise within her peers. It was during this time that she was first introduced to the idea that who you are and how you feel about yourself shows up in your body when you sing, and added Holistic Vocal Coaching to her resume. She began to see great change in her voice from this work but didn’t see a pivotal transformation until she began putting in the effort it took to free herself from shame, guilt, blame, judgement and the inner critic that kept her bound to her failures and expectations of herself. When the world stopped in 2020, she felt compelled to share the freedom she had experienced and launched The Artist Influence (TAI). And from TAI, Vocal Therapy was born—a process Wilson developed to assess how trauma shows up in the body when people sing. Vocal Therapy uses physiological cues to create a unique way for each artist to re-establish their self-esteem giving them the perfect foundation to build a free voice.

Bova continues to deepen her coaching skills through Brown University’s ACT Leadership and Performance Coach Certification. Wilson currently resides in Los Angeles, California where she spends much of her time, reading, trying new foods with her family, dancing and of course, enjoying music.

Bova is a one-of-a-kind vocal therapist and coach who in a short amount of time has unlocked my creative soul and musical ability that has been tucked away for much of my adult life.
